Biography:

Dr. Demidenko received his Ph.D. from Central Institute of Economics & Mathematics, Academy of Sciences, USSR. Since 1992 he works at the Department of Biomedical Data Science, Geisel School of Medicine and Department of Mathematics, Dartmouth College. He is the author of more than 140 peer-reviewed papers and two books in statistics (www.eugened.org). He collaborates with pharmacology and cancer researchers on the regular basis. According to a recently released database by Stanford University, he is among top 2% of World Scientists.

Giora Z Feuerstein

Biography:

Dr. Feuerstein received his MD (medicine) and MSc (Pharmacology) from the Hebrew University Jerusalem Israel. He proceeded to complete a Fellowship at the NIH (Bethesda MD, USA) in the laboratories of clinical sciences Dr Feuerstein proceeded with academic career at USUHS, Bethesda Md where he served as Prof. and Head of the neurobiology labs. Since 1988-2010 Dr Feuerstein career diverted his career with the Pharmaceutical sector (GSK, BMS, and Wyeth/Pfizer). He is acknowledged for leadership in the development of carvedilol (heart failure), Eliquis and anti-FIX, hemostasis), endothelin and angiotensin antagonists.  Dr Feuerstein main areas of expertise include hemostasis, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and inflammation. In the position of VP of Discovery translational medicine, (Wyeth/Pfizer) he generated new paradigms for drug discovery based on genomic and biomarkers. Dr Feuerstein has over 700 publication and 440 basic research papers. Dr Feuerstein received National and International awards and holds 18 patents (issues and pending). Currently Dr Feuerstein serves as Chief Science and Medicine at Debina Diagnostic Inc, a Nanomedicine and nanotechnology-based company.)

Sinerik Ayrapetyan

Keynote Title: The dysfunction of quantum-mechanical sensitive cGMP-activated Na/Ca exchange as a target for cancer therapy

Biography:

Prof. Sinerik Ayrapetyan has received his PhD in Cell Biophysics in the Institute of Physiology of Ukraine Academy of Sciences, Kiev during the period of 1966-1970. Currently, he is the Chairholder of UNESCO Chair at Life Sciences International Postgraduate Educational Center, and Coordinator of UNESCO/UNITWIN Interregional Network on Research and Postgraduate Education in Biophysics, Biotechnology and Environmental Health, Yerevan, Armenia. His research has included the study of metabolic regulation of cell function in norm and pathology. He is serving as a Chief Editor for the Journal of “Bioequivalence and Bioavailability”, and me editorial member of several International  journals, He has authored 7 international books and more than 200 research articles. Current research interest is “Intracellular Signaling System in Norm and Pathology”.

Ajit S. Narang

Keynote Title: Derisking to Accelerate Drug Development Transitions

BIography:

Ajit Narang works for the Small Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences Department of Genentech, Inc., in South San Francisco, CA responsible for the pharmaceutical development of new chemical entities through preclinical and early clinical stages.

He holds about two decades of pharmaceutical industry experience in the development and commercialization of oral and parenteral dosage forms and drug delivery platforms across preclinical through commercialization stages for both small and large molecule drugs. In addition to Genentech, he has worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Co., in New Brunswick, NJ; Ranbaxy Research Labs (currently a subsidiary of Daiichi Sankyo, Japan) in Gurgaon, India; and Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals (currently, Wockhardt USA) in Gurnee, IL. He holds undergraduate Pharmacy degree from the University of Delhi, India and graduate degrees in Pharmaceutics from the Banaras Hindu University, India and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN.

He has served as Adjunct Faculty at the Universities of Tennessee, Memphis, TN; University of Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ; University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE; University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA; Campbell University, North Carolina; and Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI. He served as Vice-Chair of the Biopharmaceutics Technical Committee (BTC) of the Pharmaceutical Quality Research Institute (PQRI) in Arlington, VA; Chair of the Formulation Design and Delivery (FDD) section of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS); and a Scientific Advisor to the Editors of JPharmSci.

Ajit has contributed to several preclinical, clinical, and commercialized drug products including NDAs, ANDAs, and 505B2s. He is credited with 54 peer-reviewed articles; 22 editorial contributions; 5 books; 10 patent applications; 47 invited talks; and 85 presentations at various scientific meetings. His current research interests are translation from preclinical to clinical and commercial drug product design; incorporation of QbD elements in drug product development; and mechanistic understanding of the role of material properties on product performance.

Christine Bond

Biography:

Christine Bond is Professor of Primary Care (Pharmacy), at the Centre of Academic Primary Care, University of Aberdeen.

Christine Bond has a first degree in pharmacy and spent five years working in the research laboratories at Glaxo Smith Kline when she first graduated. After living abroad for a few years, she returned to the UK and worked part time as a community pharmacist while her children were growing up, in tandem with a part time academic post. This arrangement balanced family life, professional practice   and   developing a career in health services research.  She completed a Master’s in Education in 1994 and her PhD in 1995, progressing through the University scales until she was appointed to a Personal Chair in 2001 and became Head of the Centre of Academic Primary Care  in 2007.  She was part time Consultant in Pharmaceutical Public Health (NHS Grampian) from 1996-2012, and in that time was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Public Health. In 2011 she was invited to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, one of very few non-medical members. 

Christine has a large portfolio of pharmacy practice research, funded mostly by the Chief Scientist Office, Research Councils and a recent European FP7 grant.  Her work explores the contribution of pharmacy to the safe, evidence based, cost effective use of medicines (prescribed and ‘OTC’), drug misuse, the community pharmacist-general practitioner interface and the wider health care agenda.

She has successfully supervised many PhD students, most of whom come from backgrounds other than general practice.  

Christine is Editor of the International Journal of Pharmacy Practice, has served as an elected member of the Scottish National Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) for 10 years until summer 2009, and has served on several national Research Panels eg the Health Service Research Committee of the Scottish Office, the MRC College of Experts, the RPSGB Pharmacy Practice Research Trust Award panel, the Health Services and Pharmacy Practice Conference Panel. She is deputy chair of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain Expert Advisory Panel for Science. In 2010 she received the UK Pharma’s Lifetime Achievement award. Throughout her recent career she has always sought to identify with general practice and primary care whilst maintaining her links with her core discipline of pharmacy.

Harshini Sarojini

Biography:

Dr. Sarojini received her PhD from the University of Kerala, India. She obtained her post-doctoral training at Gheens Center for Aging, University of Louisville, KY in Biochemistry and Molecular biology. Dr. Sarojini joined the VitaSolTM research group in 2011 at the University of Louisville to elucidate the cellular mechanisms behind the faster wound healing. She has received several awards for her research contributions, including the Wound Healing Researcher Scholarship. Dr. Sarojini is currently studying the molecular mechanisms responsible for faster wound healing and is the Principal Investigator of the diabetic wound healing project in University of Louisville School of Medicine.

Farid Menaa

Biography:

Farid Menaa (B.Sc. Eng., B.Sc. Bio., M.Sc. Genetics, Master Gerontology/Geriatry, Ph.D. Radiation Oncology and Gerontology, EMBA Entrepreneurship and MD candidate), is an inter- and multi-disciplinary professional. Professor, principal investigator, Director, consultant editor, reviewer, event organizer, and entrepreneur, he earned his degrees with highest distinctions from prestigious French universities and institutions. He followed a post-doctoral in oncology as a NIH-fellow (San Diego, California, USA; 2004-2007). Subsequently, he pursued his career in dermatology, and stem cells as a DFG-Fellow (Wuerzburg, Germany; 2007-2009). Then, he was promoted as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice-President R&D at Fluorotronics, Inc. (CA, USA; 2009-2010), a nanotechnology and fluorine chemical company. Eventually, he was appointed Principal Investigator in Hematology and Genomics as a FAPESP-Fellow (São Paulo, Brazil; 2010-2012). He authored and co-authored more than 100 publications (including peer-reviewed ISI research and review articles, books, book chapters, conference proceedings, patents). He is often invited as a speaker; keynote/featured speaker and (co-) chairman to reputed world congresses and institutions, where he is offering speeches in various areas of medicine, sciences, and technology

His research interest mainly focuses on related to preventive, personalized, translational, and integrative, nanomedicine, especially in the areas of oncology, regenerative medicine and gerontology, in order to prevent and implement early diagnosis and efficient therapy.

He co-founded the Centre for Systems Biology at Edinburgh, where he was a co-director (2006–2010), and Edinburgh Centre for Bioinformatics, where he was a director (2005–2010). Sameer Agarwal

Biography:

Dr. Sameer Agarwal have obtained Master in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT), Delhi, India and was awarded DAAD (German Govt. Scholarship) fellowship to purse research project at Karlsruhe University, Germany. He has received Ph.D. degree from Technical University, Dresden, Germany in the field of Synthetic and Bio-Organic Chemistry under direction of Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Knölker, FRSC, a well-known scientist of present times for his contribution towards Alkaloid Chemistry. He worked as Research Scientist (Post-Doc), JADO Technologies, (collaboration with Max Planck Institute (MPI) of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics and Chemistry Department, Technical University), Dresden, Germany. Then, decided to return to his home country and working with Zydus Research Centre, Cadila Healthcare Ltd., Ahmedabad as Dy. General Manager (Group Leader) in the area of basic drug discovery and responsible for all the department scientific and operational functions.

Dr. Agarwal is co-inventor and project lead for discovery of clinical candidate ZYIL1 (Phase I), a novel oral small molecule NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor.

Dr. Agarwal have >50 publications / patents to his credit and member of many scientific societies. Eugenia Belcastro

Biography:
Dr. Eugenia Belcastro is a biologist researcher in the Immuno-Infectivology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Trials Research laboratory at the Children's Hospital Bambino Gesù Research Institute, Rome since 2021. She obtained a Master Degree in Life Sciences applied to Biomedicine in 2013 at the
University of Pisa and an international PhD in Life Sciences and Health and Genetics, Oncology and Clinical Medicine, under joint supervision between the University of Lorraine (France) and the University of Siena (Italy) in 2016. She covered a postdoctoral researcher position at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Strasbourg (INSERM UMR 1260, Nanomédecine Régénérative) from May 2017 to August 2020. Her major research interests focused on cardiovascular pharmacology and pathology, by studying the synergy between inflammation and oxidative stress, the pivotal role of the endothelium in the control of vascular homeostasis in health and diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, senescence and also in physiological ageing.

Doaa El-Bohy

Biography:

Dr. Doaa El-Bohy obtained her BSc (Clinical Pharmacy) from the Ain Shams University and her PhD (Clinical Pharmacy) from Ain Shams University. She previously worked for MSA University with an academic record extended for 14 years’ experience in academia. Her PhD research was based on the effect of different PPIs on the immunosuppressive medications in renal transplantation patients. Her Area of interest is pharmacotherapy and nephrology either in ESKD, dialysis or renal transplantation

Mostafa Abbas Shalaby

Biography:

Dr. Mostafa Abbas Shalaby received his Ph.D. from Faculty of Veterinay Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt, since January 1980.  He works at the Department of Pharmacology as a Professor and Previous Head of Pharmacology Department. He supervised on 31 Master Theses and 19 PhD Theses. He published 100 scientific papers in local and international journals. He attended 35 scientific conference as presenter, Keynote speaker and Chairman. He shared 12 scientific socities as a membership. He was selected as an editorial board member for 10 International Journals. He won 3 prizes and awards from Cairo Univesity. and Publons Peer Reviewer Award. He worked as peer reviewer of 66 manuscripts for 35 international journals. Ashish Ranjan

Presentation Title: Chemo-immunotherapy of solid tumors with focused ultrasound and nanomedicines

Biography: 

Dr. Ranjan is the Professor and Endowed Chair in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Oklahoma State University. Dr. Ranjan earned his veterinary medicine degree from Madras Veterinary College, in Chennai, India. He earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences from Virginia Tech. Dr. Ranjan then was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Interventional Oncology, Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). His research interests are in the application of device directed nanoparticles for solid tumor chemo-immunotherapy. His lab is actively engaged in preclinical and veterinary clinical trials, and has received funding from several federal, state and private sources. Dr. Ranjan has received the NIH Merit, OSU distinguished faculty, regents research, and president’s fellow awards in the recent years. He also serves in the Scientific Advisory Board of Focused Ultrasound Foundation, and several NIH panels.

Swarnlata Saraf

Dr. Swarnlata Saraf graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi and received her Ph.D. from Dr. H. S. Gour University Sagar, India. Dr. Ozan Emre Eyupoglu is an Assistant Professor in School of Pharmacy at Istanbul Medipol University, ?stanbul, Turkey He received his PhD Degree from Graduate School of Natural & Applied Sciences, Chemistry (Biochemistry), Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey in 2017. His area of interest includes Health Sciences, Medicine, Basic Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomolecules, Proteomics and Biological Spectroscopy. He has published number of researches and conference articles about the chromatographic analysis and antioxidant activities of medicinal plants in reputed journals. Dr. P. Veeresh Babu received his Ph.D from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. Rucha Sane

Biography:

Dr. Rucha Sane received her B.Pharm. in India and her Ph.D. from University of Cincinnati in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has worked in pharmaceutical industry for more than 15 years. Her work has focused on preclinical and clinical pharmacology aspects of drug-drug interactions. Currently she is a Senior Scientist in the Clinical Pharmacology department at Genentech Inc. Raffaele Pezzani

Prof. Raffaele Pezzani is both a biologist and a physician with a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Padova, Italy. Mrs. Vedika Dadlani has completed her M. Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and is pursuing her PhD from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. She has total 12 years of teaching and industrial experience. Currently she is associated with Dr. L. H. Hiranandani College of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor and teaching Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Her research areas of interest are rational design of molecules with Computer aided drug design and synthesis and evaluation of novel chemotherapeutic agents including microwave synthesis for green methods of synthesis of heterocyclic molecules. Dr. Mrs.Akshada A.Koparde Currently working as Dean Academics, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, KIMSDTU’s Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad (Maharashtra), India.
